Growing up in Tennessee his musical influences were many, everyone from Merle Haggard to Loretta Lynn, Air Supply to Journey, George Jones to Linda Ronstadt all were huge influences on his singing and writing styles. With a natural gift for melodic catchy melodies and huge power ballads, he is definitely a child of the 80's, but with his sense of music he bridges every decade that's held influence for him and blends them exquisitely.
